Classes

Outsider Collective is proud to offer a variety of classes and workshops each week. Our staff and volunteers come from a wide range of artistic and professional backgrounds and are passionate about teaching technical and useful skills to further our Members' artistic talent. One of our main goals at OC is to assist and encourage individuals in becoming successful, self-employed artisans and makers.
In addition to visual art workshops, we also offer adaptive yoga classes, musical classes including drum circles and painting and dancing, improv classes with Kismet Improv, and much more!
Our team is dedicated to expanding the minds of our Members to not only become better artists but to offer them an inclusive environment where each Member is able to explore a variety of mediums and find their creative passion.

Who We Are

Outsider Collective is a community artist workspace and gallery located within the Hope Artiste’s Village in Pawtucket RI. Our founders created the OC to be a safe place where individuals of differing abilities can come to create, learn, socialize, gain mentors, and build confidence through their art and creativity.

At the OC, we meet our Members at their own individual skill levels and we provide opportunities and a space to learn and grow as artists and as people. Our team consists of formally trained artists, educators, professionals and compassionate mentors whose passion is to encourage and promote creativity as a form of expression and communication. Through experience and training, we understand the needs of the amazing individuals of the I/DD community, which allows us an advantage in helping our Members grow into their best selves.
